The Celtic Knot Yarn Shop is a fabulous and exciting yarn shop located off Route 40 in Ellicott City. This is not your ordinary knitting supply shop. The Celtic Knot has carefully chosen the finest products in the industry and is constantly looking for that extra  special something that you just can't live without!     Our goal at The Celtic Knot Yarn Shop is to inspire knitters of all skill levels to pick up their needles and get creative in our very cozy, welcoming shop.  Our customers are our number one priority!  No where is the staff friendlier or the puppy warmer!  The shop always has a very warm and inviting atmosphere and seems to be constantly buzzing with excitment! Since opening in early 2003, we have been committed to stocking our shelves with a wide variety of products from around the world. If you desire a special yarn or knitting product and don’t see it, please ask for it. We will special order almost any item and then ship to almost anywhere you need.   We welcome any who wish to stop in to discuss the joys of knitting. Our staff ranges from the new knitter to the very experienced, so please, come in, share your "purls" of wisdom & knowledge with us, or maybe just try something new!   Public school teachers,  Students and military receive 10% off all yarn purchases with a valid ID everyday at the shop.  (Discount for person making the purchase only) (20% for Alex's teacher!)   Remember the first store?  We sure came a long way...   It was tiny, but I loved that little shop.  It was the first step of my dream.  I had not been knitting very long, but I knew I loved it and wanted to be around it.  More than 100 new knitters came out of that shop!  And we are so proud of each and every one of them!      March 2003  (Wow,my hair was short!)   Only 250 sq ft in this shop!                                                            May 2003 Wow - we sure came along way, with many thanks to our loyal, fabulous, and wonderful customers!
